SUMMER EXHIBITION
The Old School house Art Group is holding their summer exhibition 2009 at Castletown House in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
Castletown House is Ireland’s finest Palladian mansion built in the 1720’s . This beautyful house and parklands which have been restored , first by the Georgian society and in the latter years by the OPW, is well worth a visit. You can join one of the many guided tours throughout the day and a glass of wine in the restaurant or on the enclosed garden terrace.
In these historic surroundings the art group will exhibit new paintings and art work in the Housekeepers room.
The exhibition will be opened by the Hon. Desmond Guinness , of the Georgian Society, Saturday 20th June at 2.30 pm.
The show continues until Sunday 28th June and is open daily (except Monday) from 10 am - 5 pm.
Castletown House is located 20 km from Dublin on the M4 (take the Celbridge West exit - and follow signs for Castletown House)
